Has any of you been in Sydney in WYD in July? I’ve been and I must say it was unforgettable! I’ve been in Australia for one month. It is a beautiful country. If you ever get the chance to go there take it. You won’t regret it! Beautiful beaches, small towns... People are so nice. Local families opened their door to us pilgrims and took care of use very nicely. This was my first WYD and this experience changed me totally. Besides all the sights seeing I was impressed by behavior of thousands young pilgrims.
You know when there is some important football game and fans come to cheer for their country… well as far as I know, games that have been played in last year all ended with fights between fans. Police had to use force, garbage (bottles) were lying around like it would be a million people on stadium... Fans are acting more like animals than supportive to their teams!

Young pilgrims from all over the world (literally) were exploring Sydney. We were nice to each other, no matter from were we were – all the political misunderstandings between countries didn’t exist. We were all in one place because of one reason – Jesus! We were looking forward to see the Pope and to hear his encouraging words. This WYD motto was: "You will be my witnesses…..in all the corners of the earth" (Acts 1:8)

For those two days, when the main thing was happening, it felt like the whole world stopped! Everything was perfect, peace, no hate, no world problems…that is how we felt! More than 170 world countries were represented in those glorious days for the Youth, not only in body but also in spirit. A true blessing for the world went forth from Sydney…500 million persons followed WYD on television and almost one billion experienced it on the Internet. 1,000 priests heard confessions during WYD.

I truly believe that every pilgrim will make a difference in the world. Filled with Holly Spirit, we just aren’t the same as we were!

I was talking to some children today and I asked them what do the do if someone offends them. They started shouting we offend him back. Then I asked them what if someone hits them? Again, they replied, we hit him back. The children I’ve been talking to are 12 and 13 years old. When I was that old (I’m still young, I am 23 years old), we weren’t fighting at school, we weren’t talking badly about each other… we were full of tricks, but they were harmless for people around us and for society. We had innocent but funny tricks. Now days can just a wrong look bring fights and misunderstandings. Wars between children are more and more frequent.

Did you ever think about that?
It is time you do and you know why? Because it is in over power to say to children what is right and what is wrong. We can tell them that they shouldn’t return evil for evil, but they should do good to every person around them! Even when someone offends us, we should just go away or forgive him. Never revenge back! This will only start a never ending fight.
Besides teaching children how to behave it is very important that they can see an example in us. We must behave like we are teaching them!

I was one listening to a life story of one recurred drug addict and what he said: “when I was younger, my father told me not to smoke and while he was telling me that he was smoking a cigarette”. He wasn’t able to be a good example to his child. Nobody is perfect, but if we’ll continue living like we are and children will be so miserable like they are now, world won’t survive!

So, be a good example for anybody – young or old, parents or children, classmates or teachers, co-workers or bosses… it doesn’t matter in which relationship as long as you do your best! Jesus said that we have to love our enemies and that is what we should do. Btw: enemy is anyone who offends us and we want to revenge him back! This could be our little brother that eats last cookie or mother that want us to clean our room when we would rather play games on computer.
Think about it…
Have nice day. More tomorrow…

When was the last time you read a really good book? Or may be it is better if I ask, when was the last time you read a book that enriched you? It is hard with all the newspapers, television, radio, computers, internet and many more possibilities to waste your time on and of course we don’t even think on books! I remember when I was in elementary school, we had to read a lot of books. At that time we were all complaining, but now I can see that that was one of the best things we had to do!
Ask one of the children now days what do they think about this subject. Many of them will make odd face and say they prefer computers and games. No doubt about it! But whose fault is it? In my opinion it is societies fault! Poor children don’t even know what library is and not to mention how to search books in it. It is not like on computer when you just type what you want and 100 web sides open and offers solution.

Well, I got carried away, I wanted to encourage you to find a good book – but more for your spiritual growth, not just any book – and to may be change your evening habit for a while. When you go to bed, don’t watch television, rather read book and you will feel better. I just ordered one book and I am waiting for delivery. When I read critics about it I was shocked and I really think everybody should read this. It is about a saint Little Margaret of Castello. Unbelievable! I will add a link so you will be able to read her life story. I am really curious what will be written in a book! Once again I can say to you: if you think you have problems in your life, just read her story and than I would like to see your expression… bus still, why is she a saint? Because she didn’t feel sorry for herself! She loved life, she loved God and everything she had to deal with!
May this be all for today. Think about it…

This is a cover of the book I was telling you about...

Half of December has already ended. We are in third advent week. Time passes by so quickly… do you ever stop and ask yourself what did you do for yourself in three weeks? How are you preparing on a birth of Jesus?

It is hard in today’s world. Especially because we should shop all the time, buy million of things we don’t even need. Do you even realize how many people take credit in this time of year, just to buy as much as they can. They think it is possible to buy happiness with material things, but guess what, they only make you even emptier! What happens when New Year is over? Joy is over (at least that is what they think), they have a lot of credits, house full of stuff they don’t even need and empty souls.
It is logical that dealers want to sell as much as they can so they can make big profit. In one way it is just their way to survive and to feed their families.

What is the real meaning of Christmas and advent time? First we have to look back and think about our actions. Did we do any good for people among us. What are the things we would like to change and do better. How can we help people around us but not just to our family members. We don’t have to save the world – we can’t – but we can visit old neighbour, offer your place to pregnant woman on bus, try to be nice to people we meet… and so on and on. Think how can YOU make someone happy.

Imagine big family with standard budget. Television is showing all the toys children should have, cars for fathers and beautiful jewellery for mothers. This family knows that they can not afford all that and if they try to buy as much as they can and spend all the time thinking how to get things than advent time and Christmas will be over and they want even notice it. If parents sit down with children and explain them that this time of the year is a special time, blessed time when main stress in spending time with family and doing good for people, children won’t care for expensive gifts. They will explain other kids in school what is Christmas about. Let’s face it, children care more for parents attention and loving care than presents, especially now when parents are at work almost 24/7.

So don’t waste your time on thinking what you have to do, what will you buy and start thinking how can you help and what nice things you can do to people you ren into.

Imagine that you are hanging with your friends and you decide that you want to play an interesting game. I can give you a simple advice on how to spend your time creatively.

This game is better if you are with people that you know them for a while. You sit in a circle and you send one person out (let’s call it X, for easier explanation of rules) – so it doesn’t hear you talk. You choose one person among you (person Y) and than you call X into the room again and he has to guess who is the person you chose (Y). He can find that out by asking questions. But not any questions… He can ask, for example: if this person would be a tree/plant/building/car/river/food/drink/road/mountain… what would it be? And it doesn’t matter which person does X asks, anyone that answers must think and answer about person Y.

This is really great game, because you have to use your imagination, you find out what friends think about you or how do they see you. It tells you a lot if you are person that X is guessing about and he asks what kind of river you are… if one of your friend answers calm and peaceful or wavy and fast, it can tell a lot about your personality.

May be it sounds complicated but it really isn’t. If you don’t understand the rules, write me and I will explain you. Meanwhile I wish you a lot of fun with spending creative time with your friends.

Have it ever happened to you that you found yourself in very hard and unsolvable situation? Did you want to give up? Were you thinking that there is no way out? That things can not get batter?

Well if you answered on any of this questions with ‘yes’, let me tell you what is very important for you to know. Try to think back – back in your life – through how many difficult things have you already been and remember how hard it was. Now think how did you feel when the problem was solved? You were relieved, but also (and that is the most important) STRONGER, after dealing with major problem. Besides that, you were also wiser, you felt good about yourself and by going though some situation, you are able to help other people that are dealing with similar problem as you did.
So, every time you will find yourself in tough position, think how strong you really are, how many people you have around you that will help you…
Remember that every problem ends eventually, even yours.
My main point is that you should always think positive and try to learn as much as you can from situation.

Very important thing is that you try your best to make other people happy. Imagine you have a bad day, everyone bother you, you feel like you don’t want to talk to anyone, basically you just want to go home and wait till the day is over. Than suddenly, stranger passes you by and smiles at you. Although you are feeling so down, you just have to smile back and in that moment you realize, how this stranger helped you for a second. Suddenly, world is not so dark anymore… and that is what everyone of us must do. Be that ‘stranger’ to other people that are feeling down. Ask yourself “is it really that bad or am I just overreacting”. Think of how many people doesn’t have basic material goods that are needed for decent human life. Well face it, if you are seating behind computer and reading this, you’re not doing so bad…
So be grateful for all small things, that you usually don’t even notice and share happiness around. And when you see someone sad, encourage him!
